NY Auto Show: Hyundai Hope On Wheels
At the 2009 New York International Auto Show, the Jacobs Javitz Center was lined with brand new car models, along with concept models from around the world. However, it was the white 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe decorated with colorful, childrens' handprints, which stood out. Each handprint was made by a child who is battling cancer, and the vehicle is being used to bring awareness to pediatric cancer, and promote the Hyundai Hope On Wheels charity. In this charity, for every Hyundai vehicle which is sold in the U.S., $5 will be donated to Hope On Wheels. So far, Hope On Wheels has donated over $12 million worldwide to help fight pediatric cancer.
Below is a video from the NY Auto Show hightlighting the Hyundai Hope on Wheels charity event. Also featured in this video is Brad Benson, owner of the Brad Benson Auto Group, a Hyundai & Mitsubishi Dealership in NJ, where he explains the importance of dealers and manufacturers to give back to the community.
